7 Podium Finishes at Malone for HSS Team!

January 9, 10 - Lead by Jake Scott's 3 First Place finishes, Hulten Speed Sports Polaris IQs carried Bobby LePage and Danny Poirier both to podium finishes in the Rock Maple Racing Pro Super Stock and Open finals on Sunday! A great start to the season for Bobby as he added a Pro Open win to his Super Stock win at Hickory in December.

In the Pro Super Stock final it was Danny and Bobby taking charge early with Danny holding the lead for 13 laps of the 20 lap final. Lapped traffic allowed Mathieu Morin to work his way around Danny on lap 14. Danny got past the slower traffic, but ran out of time and finished second. Bobby recovered from a turn two get-off in the early going and earned a hard-fought third place finish.

In the Pro Open final, Danny got caught up in a tangle at the start and crossed the start-finish 10th after the first lap. By Lap 7 Danny rocketed his way to third where he would finish for his second podium finish of the day. Meanwhile, Bobby avoided the mayhem at the start and came out of the gate second behind Morin. Patient to just find the faster line for 14 laps, Bobby made his move around Mathieu and took over the lead on lap 15 and held on for his second win of the season!

Hulten Speed Sports young phenom Jake Scott stayed clear of the mishaps he ran into at Hickory and posted the first of his three wins on Saturday when he held back the field in the Saturday Sport Super Stock 600 final. Sunday saw no lapse in concentration from Jake as his sped to wins in the Sunday Sport Super Stock and Sport 600 finals on Sunday. Jake's best lap time of 34.56 seconds was better than half of the Pro Super Stock racer's times in their final round race! The kid has wings!
