Here we will be posting reports from the road and the Winter X-Games at Aspen, Colorado. A sort of "road trip" blog if you will. Keep checking back as we start our trek out west.

1/25/2010: Today we left Cycle Worx to head out west for the X-Games. We drove Gibby's truck to Pennsylvania to meet up with the Wizard in the totor.

1/26/2010: The boys drove in shifts all night long through a snow storm and made it to Iowa by morning. We stopped to the Cracker Barrel for breakfast around 9 then got back on the road, almost without Josh. The roads weren't really the best, there were over 100 vehicles off the road …cars, trucks, semis. The Wizard wasn't going to let that stop him, we've got some miles to cover.

About 3:30 pm the Wizard gets stopped on 80W in Iowa by a state trooper. Apparently he was going 90 in a 55 but, luckily he sweet talked his way out of a ticket and was let go with no trouble.

It's 6:00 pm right now and we're stopping to a Flying J for some fuel and snacks in Nebraska.

1/27/2010: WE MADE IT!!! We didn't hit any mountain goats. We got here at about 9:00am after stopping to sleep in Glenwood Springs, CO at a rest area. Now we're just sitting here in the totor hoping the Red Bull truck doesn't hit us.

So it's about 12:30 pm and we're still stuck in the totor. We've been trying to find a place to rent a vehicle but haven't had any luck yet. Ray's outside with the cart on wheels that Bobby bought for him trying to make Bobby's sled fast …hopefully it works. Gibby's outside trying to help Ray out but we all want him to shower because he's starting to smell pretty bad.

The weather here in Aspen is pretty nice; it's about 30 degrees out with some sunshine. The snowboarders are over practicing in the halfpipe, that's pretty fun to watch. Josh and Jake are trying to show up Shaun White on the slopes but I don't think it's working out so well. They're the only two snowboarders out there with all of their Polaris gear on, falling as they get off the chairlift.

Bobby just showered …it's about time. test

We all had a good day at the X Games …watched some more snowboarding superpipe and some freestyle snocross practice, played some pacman in the riders lounge, still can't find the snocross track. Still don't have our rental vehicle ..we have one reserved, but have no way to go pick it up so we've just been lounging in the totor. Jake, Gibby and Bobby all just had some dinosaur chicken nuggets ..if they're lucky they'll get some spongebob mac and cheese tomorrow. We've all decided that Jake's huge fro needs to go so that's what tomorrow is going to bring ... we'll post some pictures of his haircut in progress tomorrow afternoon so be sure to check back in!

1/28/10: Today Bobby is pretty anxious to ride …if we don't get him on a sled soon he's gonna be over hitting the ramps with Levi. Jakes's fro still needs to go so we better find a ride to the U Haul pretty soon so we can buy some clippers. The X-Games are starting to pick up today …there was some more snowmobile freestyle practice this morning. The schedule here today includes practice for skiing slopestyle and freestyle, snowboard superpipe and big air, and the snowmobile freestyle final is tonight from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
